Shedheads

Shedheads are a young funk-rock trio from Nelson / Whakatū. The band’s made up of JP Moynihan on vocals and bass, Ryan Smith on guitar, and Shoei Ito on drums. They kicked things off around 2022 when they were still at school, but even then they had this loud, loose live energy that grabbed people fast.

Their debut record Big Milk landed in 2025 and it’s raw in the best way. Ten tracks of funk, rock and noise, all mashed together with plenty of attitude.
